1. Send a private deletion request
Use the “Message the club” link below to open our Facebook page, then send a private message headed “Website data deletion request”. Include the email address used to sign in, whether you used Google or Facebook, and whether you want your entire account or only specific information removed. Please do not post these details publicly. Never send passwords, authentication codes, payment details or identity documents in your initial message. If you cannot use Facebook, ask a club representative to pass your request to the website administrator.
2. We verify and review your request
A club administrator will review the request and may ask for proportionate confirmation that you control the account. Sending a message does not trigger automatic deletion. We aim to respond within 30 days, subject to any shorter deadline required by applicable law. If more time or information is needed, we will explain why.
3. What deletion covers
A verified account-deletion request covers the website account, associated social-provider links, club permissions and event registrations, unless a lawful reason requires limited retention. Deletion removes access to the account and may cancel registrations. Club content you authored may need to be reassigned or anonymised so that non-personal club records remain usable. We will explain any information that must be retained, the reason and the applicable retention period when responding.
4. Confirmation and backup copies
We will confirm completion through the request channel, or explain any outstanding verification or lawful exception. Restricted backup copies may persist until they are rotated out and are not intended for ordinary use. If a backup is restored, completed deletion requests must be reapplied. We do not promise immediate removal from every backup.
Disconnect Google or Facebook
You can also remove the app connection in Facebook’s Settings → Apps and websites, or Google Account → Security → Connections to third-party apps and services. Labels may vary by device. Disconnecting prevents future access through that connection but is separate from requesting deletion of information already held by the club. Deleting your club account does not delete your Google or Facebook account.
Only want to cancel an event?
Sign in, visit Events and select “Cancel registration” for the relevant event. This removes that registration without deleting your website account. For other privacy requests, see our Privacy Policy.
